Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Lead Statistical Programmer to develop and validate SAS-based programs for clinical trial data, deliver analysis datasets, listings, and graphs in line with SAP. You will lead a team of programmers, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with statisticians, sponsors, and cross-functional teams in a remote setting in India.

The role requires extensive SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment, strong knowledge of CDISC standards,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a scientific or statistical discipline.
• Extensive SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment.
• Experience mentoring others and leading programming teams.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses SAS or other software to generate summary tables, listings, graphs, and derived datasets per the statistical analysis plan.
• Performs validation programming and coordinates with programmers and biostatisticians to resolve discrepancies.
• Follows SOPs, WIs, and regulatory guidelines (ICH).
• Keeps project documentation complete and inspection-ready.
• Acts as the lead statistical programmer and directs activities of other programmers.
• Reviews documents such as SAP, mock shells, programming specs, annotated CRFs, and SAS DB design.
• Participates in sponsor meetings and kickoff/bid defense as statistical programming representative.
• Mentors programming staff and develops training materials.
• Maintains knowledge of clinical drug development and CDISC standards; provides guidance to others.
• Performs other duties as assigned; minimal travel may be required.
