Job summary

1840 & Company is seeking a remote Junior Accountant in the Philippines to support full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial statement preparation for multiple clients.

The role requires at least 3 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with accounting software. Graveyard shift is expected for this position, with a 60-minute paid break.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, payroll, and financial statements experience.
• Full-cycle bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Willing to work graveyard shift.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day record keeping for management reporting and other analytical reports.
• Management of A/R, A/P, and/or invoicing.
• Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare client’s monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting.
• Act as in-house expert on client processes, documenting learnings and supporting controls/improvements.
• Work with clients to obtain documentation and ensure milestones are met.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional communications with team, clients, vendors, and third parties.
• Complete required admin or ad-hoc tasks to assist the firm or teammates.
• Solve problems and escalate to a manager as needed.
• Other duties to meet client and firm needs.
