GoLean Health is seeking a Back-Office Insurance & Prior Authorization Virtual Medical Assistant to support a nonprofit behavioral health organization in the United States. This role focuses on administrative and insurance-related tasks to move patients through enrollment and prepare them for care.

You will verify eligibility, manage authorizations, review payer requirements, and maintain accurate documentation across AdvancedMD and related clinic systems.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Experience with US commercial insurance plans and Medicaid.
• Experience using payer portals and EHRs.
• Strong HIPAA knowledge and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits with commercial plans and Medicaid.
• Initiate and process prior authorization requests.
• Identify missing information to prevent enrollment delays.
• Review intake forms and ensure data accuracy in systems.
• Support credentialing and chart preparation as needed.
