Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Quality Analyst, Inpatient Coding to collaborate with internal staff on documentation, coding, and compliance. The role will design and implement quality coding review programs and communicate findings to coding management.

The incumbent will monitor performance, drive improvements, and ensure adherence to HIPAA and contractual accuracy targets while supporting staff development. Work from home with dayshift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any Medical or Allied Medical course or equivalent work experience.
• AAPC and/or AHIMA certification. CPMA is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of IP DRG Coding experience.
• Proficient with E/M and CPT coding; HIPAA knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Set team direction and provide guidance to members of own team.
• Lead, coach, recognize and develop a team to meet objectives and maintain company culture and procedures.
• Administer the Quality Assessment process to ensure quality standards/targets are met.
• Daily management of all operational processes to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Act as client contact for day-to-day issues; escalate concerns to Coding/General Manager.
• Review and analyze reports to meet client and company objectives.
• Collaborate with workgroups to resolve issues impacting customers.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect PHI.
