Job summary

Bet On Talent is seeking an experienced Architect to own and evolve a high-volume casino platform. You will lead the shift to an in-house, scalable infrastructure, shaping API contracts and real-time data pipelines for sportsbook and gaming studios.

You will drive technical authority while hands-on in design and implementation, with travel to Malta quarterly if based elsewhere in Europe. This is a remote, international opportunity reporting to the CTO.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years as an Architect and 8+ years building high-volume, high-availability distributed systems.
• Strong backend engineering with Go for legacy transition.
• Experience designing architecture for iGaming, fintech, e-commerce, or similar platforms.
• Mastery of AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
• Ability to lead through technical authority as a hands-on problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing third-party casino platform architecture and untangle complexities.
• Lead the transition to an in-house infrastructure with a unified, high-performance codebase.
• Design and evolve scalable architectures for sportsbook, casino, and game studios for massive traffic and real-time data pipelines.
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, and lead POCs as the technical decision-maker.
• Contribute to architectural vision of additional initiatives and assist in hiring backend engineers.
