Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila seeks a General Accounting Specialist to support financial accounting, month-end close, and reporting across the organization. You will partner with U.S.-based finance teams to maintain controls and ensure accurate accounting processes in a Global Business Services environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of general accounting experience, proficiency in MS Office, and exposure to Workday, BlackLine, or Epic EHR is a plus.

Qualifications

2–4 years of general accounting experience.
Knowledge of financial statement prep and reconciliations.
US GAAP knowledge preferred.
Experience supporting month-end close preferred.
Proficient in MS Office.
Experience with Workday Financial Management preferred.
Experience with BlackLine preferred.
Experience with Epic EHR preferred.
Experience supporting audits preferred.

Responsibilities

Support month-end and year-end closing activities for timely financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forward schedules.
Analyze balance sheet and general ledger accounts for accuracy.
Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis and identify trends.
Monitor financial activity and flag unusual transactions to leadership.
Assist with audits by providing schedules and analyses.
Collaborate with U.S.-based finance teams on accruals and transactions.
Maintain internal controls compliance and process documentation.
Support system-related improvements and cross-functional finance activities.
Contribute to standardization of accounting processes.
