Job summary

ConnectOS in the Philippines seeks a Risk Control Specialist to identify fraud patterns across card-based payment flows and design robust risk control strategies. You will investigate suspicious activity and work with product, engineering, compliance, and banking partners to ensure a secure payments ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of risk control experience in crypto/Web3 or cross-border payments, strong data analysis, SQL proficiency, and fluency in Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant risk control experience, with hands-on exposure to crypto/Web3 payment platforms or cross-border payments.
• Familiar with card deposit/withdrawal risks (3DS, chargebacks, cash-out abuse, CNP fraud).
• Experience designing and implementing risk strategies with a quantitative mindset.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
• Experience with risk models / machine learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analysis to identify fraud patterns in card-based flows and produce reports.
• Design, deploy, and tune risk control strategies (blacklists/whitelists, rule engines, risk scoring).
• Investigate suspicious transactions and translate findings into playbooks for strategy improvements.
• Monitor core metrics (hit rate, false positives, fraud loss) and iterate controls.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and banking partners to drive risk issues to resolution.
