Ethos is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager for a fully remote, flexible engagement. The role focuses on training AI workflows through professional documents, spreadsheets, and slides, with hands-on ownership of close reconciliations and audit schedules.

Strong GAAP knowledge and expert document craftsmanship are essential. The position offers a 5–20 hour/week commitment, competitive hourly pay, and immediate start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support with hands-on close ownership.
• Deep fluency in GAAP, PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Prepare audit request schedules and PBC documentation.
• Create accounts payable/receivable aging reports.
• Develop budget-to-actual variance summaries.
• Conduct internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos.
• Maintain vendor and expense audit trail spreadsheets.
