Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. You will partner with attorneys, practice groups, and leadership to develop pricing strategies, create budgets, and provide data-driven insights that support client value and firm growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dynamic modeling).
• Experience with business intelligence, report-writing, and data visualization tools preferred.
• Power BI experience, including interactive dashboards, DAX measures, data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategies and innovative fee arrangements.
• Create detailed matter budgets and financial models for various fee structures.
• Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses on staffing, leverage, and profitability.
• Perform profitability and contribution-margin analyses at multiple levels.
• Support pricing and budgeting in RFPs, client negotiations, and BD opportunities.
• Prepare monthly financial reports on productivity and KPIs.
• Develop ad hoc analyses and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Use BI and data visualization to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Train attorneys on pricing practices and BI tools.
• Collaborate with Marketing on client budgets and rate structures.
• Leverage generative AI tools to enhance analysis and reporting.
