Job summary

eClerx is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant / Pricing Analyst to support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis. The role involves analyzing large data sets, identifying trends, validating data accuracy, and delivering insights to guide pricing decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a related Bachelor's degree and excels in Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS) with ERP/BI experience and the ability to explain complex results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience in data analysis, pricing analysis, cost analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other data analysis functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with large or complex datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies.
• Experience with ERP systems, BI tools, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze pricing, cost, sales, and profitability data to identify trends, patterns, and variances.
• Perform detailed data analysis to support pricing and cost-related decisions.
• Prepare and maintain pricing and costing reports and analysis.
• Analyze product/service costs and assess their impact on margins and profitability.
• Identify unusual trends, discrepancies, and data inconsistencies and investigate their root causes.
• Perform variance analysis between actual, standard, budgeted, or historical costs/prices.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based models, reports, and dashboards.
• Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams to validate and interpret data.
• Support pricing reviews, profitability analysis, forecasting, and other financial analysis activities.
