Job summary

Intelligent Technical Solutions is seeking a Finance Admin Assistant to help keep finance operations compliant and running smoothly from a home-based role. You will handle multi-state sales tax, commissions, accounts payable, licenses, and filings with independent research for nexus and tax rules.

The role requires attention to detail, self-motivation, and strong Excel and English communication, plus a setup suitable for a remote, full-time position in PST-friendly hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1-2 years accounting, tax or compliance experience; US sales tax experience preferred.
• Attention to detail due to compliance work.
• Strong research skills to interpret state tax rules.
• Self-motivated with initiative to improve processes.
• Proficient Excel (LOOKUPS, pivot tables, reconciliations).
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Reliable high-speed internet required.
• Dual-monitor workstation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file and pay sales tax returns across multiple states and local jurisdictions accurately and on time.
• Research nexus, registration, rates and product taxability for new nexus; set up tax codes in ConnectWise.
• Support use tax, B&O tax and personal property tax compliance including assessments and payments.
• Process monthly commissions for Client Success, Outside Sales, employees, third parties and channel partners.
• Support accounts payable processing in Sage Intacct including bill entry and vendor setup.
• Maintain business license and permit registrations and renewals; prepare entity documentation.
• Track leases, utilities, insurance policies and COI requests; monitor renewal deadlines.
• Triage and resolve Finance Admin tickets within agreed turnaround times.
• Keep trackers, filing calendar and Finance Admin Reference Guide up to date.
• Identify improvements to Finance Admin processes.
