Job summary

Penbrothers International is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Financial Systems team and design, build, and scale a Finance Data Warehouse. You’ll work with Snowflake, ELT/ETL pipelines (Fivetran/dbt), and finance data models for accurate reporting and AI-ready analytics.

The role is 100% remote from the Philippines with a night shift (11:00 PM–8:00 AM PH time) aligned to US hours, collaborating with Accounting, FP&A, and Data Analytics to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in data engineering or data warehouse development
• Strong experience with Snowflake including warehouse design, performance tuning, and cost optimization
• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries
• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a Finance Data Warehouse in Snowflake for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML use cases
• Develop and manage ELT pipelines with Fivetran and dbt to ingest, transform, and model data from finance systems
• Own finance data models (GL, revenue, expenses, vendors, customers) with accuracy and traceability
• Collaborate with Accounting, Financial Operations, FP&A, and Data teams to translate requirements into scalable data models
• Ensure data quality and reconciliation across sources and downstream reporting
• Optimize Snowflake performance and cost through thoughtful design and transformations
• Implement data governance, metadata management, and documentation for SOX compliance
• Support dashboards (Tableau) and future AI/data mining initiatives
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines for reliability
• Align with broader data architecture standards with platform teams
