Job summary

Penbrothers International seeks a Data Engineer to design and scale configurable ETL frameworks for a multi-tenant analytics platform. You will build data pipelines using Python, Polars and Pandas, and optimize BigQuery workloads, enabling data-informed decisions for educational clients.

You will work 100% remotely with night hours aligned to US Eastern Time, collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring robust testing, logging, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering.
• Primary tools are Python and SQL.
• Experience architecting modular, scalable ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect modular data pipelines using Python and SOLID principles.
• Build data transformations with Polars and Pandas.
• Manage BigQuery infrastructure: partitioning and performance.
• Create YAML/JSON configuration-driven pipelines for multi-client onboarding.
• Ensure software quality with pytest, logging, and documentation.
