hs financial technologies is seeking a Data Engineer to support enterprise ETL processes, build data pipelines from external sources, and migrate legacy workflows to scalable code. The role combines development and operations with Python-based solutions and Jupyter notebooks.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams across a distributed global unit, document processes, and pursue continuous improvement while aligning with U.S. business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Strong Python, SQL and Bash skills.
• Experience with data-science libraries: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy.
• Advanced Excel and data handling capabilities.
• Ability to read XML-based schemas and workflows.
• AWS experience with Kibana and APM for troubleshooting.
• OO programming, design patterns and core software concepts.
• Experience in agile development and production deployments.
• Financial services knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• A blend of technical depth with a service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• ETL Development – Design, build, test, and evolve ETL pipelines using Python and Jupyter notebooks.
• Data Transformation – Convert raw data streams into formats for internal apps.
• Documentation – Produce and maintain clear documentation for ETL processes.
• Support & Incident Response – SLA-compliant support with rapid production fixes.
• Continuous Improvement – Stay updated with ETL best practices and apply them.
• Communication – Translate complex problems into streamlined solutions for internal audiences.
