Remote Raven is seeking a CPA tax preparer to handle individual, business, and trust returns in full compliance with federal and state tax law using Lacerte. You own returns from intake to self-review, and you communicate directly with US clients.

Role includes tax planning tasks during off-season, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery. Reports to a US reviewer in a fully remote setup, with success at 90 days shown by clean returns and organized workpapers.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Experience in public accounting tax preparation.
• Proficient with Lacerte tax software.
• Experience preparing Form 1040, 1120/1120S, 1065, 1041.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law.
• Ability to handle high return volume during US tax season.
• Detail oriented and accurate under deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state returns (1040, 1120/1120S, 1065, 1041).
• Enter data in Lacerte from source documents.
• Review prior-year returns and source documents.
• Identify deductions, credits, and planning opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state tax law.
