Job summary

WSP Philippines, Inc. is looking for a qualified Civil Engineer to take on responsibilities in civil design, project documentation, and collaboration with a national team. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, relevant licensure, and 2 to 7 years of industry experience, especially with Australian standards. You will manage civil engineering documentation, coordinate project drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement within the company. Familiarity with 12D Modelling and AutoDesk Civil 3D is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned civil design and documentation as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.
• Contribute to current civil engineering projects through provision of accurate and timely documentation.
• Communicate effectively with external multidisciplinary consultants and internal managers, engineers, and colleagues.
• Embark on collaborative multidisciplinary design projects with a national team.
• Coordinate and produce drawings and drafting requirements for assigned projects.
• Adhere to prescribed drafting standards and procedures.
• Work toward group objectives while adhering to company policy.
• Serve as a project leader when required by project size, complexity, or request.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other civil designers when possible.
• Perform quality reviews of documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Execute other duties as directed to help the company provide outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• A Registered Civil Engineer with the relevant licensure regulatory board.
• 2 to 7 years of industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, subdivisions, and roads.
• Highly developed skills in civil design and drafting, ideally within a consulting engineering environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement through regular performance feedback and implementation of change.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC, etc.).
• Proven civil design capability in earthworks, pavement, stormwater, basement, and subsurface drainage.
• Track record of effectively handling competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Capacity to liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Mandatory Experience

• 12D Modelling.
• Roads, earthworks, and stormwater drainage design (Australian Standards).

Desirable Experience

• AutoDesk Civil 3D.
• Experience designing projects in land development, building civilworks, and infrastructure contexts.
• Experience with drainage software such as DRAINS, XP Storm / SWMM, 12d Drainage, etc.
