RemoteRaven is seeking a Billing & Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage internal billing, AR, and patient financial inquiries for a US-based behavioral health practice. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, professionalism and strong communication with patients and external vendors.

You will oversee the full billing lifecycle, coordinate with external billing partners, ensure HIPAA compliance, and monitor key revenue cycle metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of medical billing and revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Comprehensive knowledge of the full medical billing lifecycle.
• Experience with commercial insurance plans, Medicare Part B.
• Strong CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Behavioral health or mental health billing experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee internal billing and collection activities for the practice.
• Manage full billing lifecycle: claim creation, submission, balance investigation, and AR workflows.
• Review claims for accuracy and fix issues before submission.
• Resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments; submit corrected claims.
• Monitor AR aging for timely reimbursement.
• Serve as liaison between practice and external billing vendors.
• Handle patient balances and collection activities per policy.
• Provide patients with billing statements and payment histories; explain charges clearly.
• Monitor revenue cycle metrics and report to management.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and alignment with payer guidelines.
