Job summary

BruntWork is seeking an experienced Australian Real Estate Bookkeeper with strong Xero and trust accounting experience for a fully remote role. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, AP, reconciliations, compliance, and financial reporting for Australian property clients.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on trust accounting in real estate, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines while maintaining clear communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum: experience with Australian real estate or property management accounting.
• Hands-on real estate trust accounting experience.
• Strong accounts payable experience.
• Solid Xero experience.
• Understanding of Australian bookkeeping and compliance (BAS).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero and trust accounting systems.
• Process accounts payable, invoices and payments.
• Perform bank and trust account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate property trust accounting records.
• Assist with BAS and Australian compliance requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end processes.
• Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Respond to finance-related queries and support process improvements.
