Intelligent Outsourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and oversee UK audit engagements from planning through completion, delivering high-quality client service remotely.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, stakeholder management, and risk-based audit planning, with a 4-day workweek and midshift schedule to align with UK hours; candidates must manage budgets, ensure UK GAAP compliance, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience managing UK external audits from planning through completion.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and the Companies Act.
• Experience handling statutory audits for private sector clients; charities, academies, or pension schemes are a plus.
• Excellent English communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, within timelines and budgets.
• Develop risk-based audit plans and oversee execution per regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary client contact, with regular progress updates.
• Review financial statements for UK reporting standards and disclosures.
• Monitor budgets, WIP, and billing for project delivery.
• Ensure audit files meet quality standards for senior management review.
• Identify improvements to clients' financial processes and controls with recommendations.
• Manage onboarding activities, including professional clearance and AML compliance.
• Support fee discussions, client relationships, and business development.
• Mentor junior team members and promote high-performance culture.
