Intelligent Outsourcing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead UK external audits from planning to completion in a remote role. You will oversee multiple engagements, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional client service.

Ideal candidates possess ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent, with proven UK audit management. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and English communication skills are essential to drive high-quality results and build lasting

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience managing UK external audits from planning through completion.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and the Companies Act (preferred).
• Experience managing statutory audits for private sector clients; charities, academies, or pension schemes are an advantage.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and audit software (CCH an advantage).
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and committed to high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery and budgets.
• Develop risk-based audit plans and oversee audit execution per regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary client contact, providing updates on progress and key issues.
• Review financial statements for UK reporting standards compliance including disclosures.
• Monitor budgets, WIP, and billing schedules for efficient delivery.
• Ensure audit files meet quality standards for senior management review.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' financial processes and controls.
• Manage client onboarding, AML compliance, and professional clearances.
• Support fee discussions, client relationships, and business development.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative culture.
