Job summary

Hammerjack is seeking an experienced AU Senior Tax Accountant to complete working papers, prepare tax compliance reports, and support Australian clients. You’ll work across individual, business, company, and trust tax requirements while supporting quality outcomes for Australian clients.

This role offers remote work with hybrid options across Makati and Pampanga, plus ongoing training and opportunities to grow within the team, collaborating directly with onshore Australian specialists.

Qualifications

Graduate in Finance or Accounting or related field.
CPA or CA qualification preferred.
3+ years in Australian accounting or taxation.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance.
Experience with individual, partnership, trust and company compliance.
SMSF knowledge is preferred but not required.
Proficient with MS Office and accounting tools like Xero and MYOB.
Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare Tax Compliance Work: Prepare and lodge individual tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT returns, and business financial statements.
Support Client Accounting: Bookkeeping, payroll processing, invoices, and quarterly superannuation payments using Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks when required.
Prepare Management Reports: Produce monthly management reports including P&L and balance sheets.
Manage Complex Compliance: Support company, trust, partnership, and individual compliance, including Division 7A loans and inter-entity transactions.
Review and Guide Others: Review work by junior accountants across tax returns, BAS, IAS, payroll and related deliverables.
Support Client Delivery: Complete ad hoc client management tasks and share knowledge with the team.
