Job summary

Magic, a leading luxury e-commerce platform, is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Fine Jewelry team in building and executing assortments that hit sales and profit targets during a defined project window.

You will handle reporting, inventory balancing, PO management, and vendor coordination so the Buyer can focus on strategy, while contributing to growth in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. This remote role offers 40 hours weekly, EST hours, and a $7/hour compensation.

Qualifications

• Prior merchandising experience, preferably in fashion or luxury retail.
• Strong knowledge of fashion and luxury goods markets and trends.
• Solid merchandising financials and retail math understanding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in developing assortments, sales and inventory plans.
• Build assortment models and balance inventory to maximize performance.
• Support buying decisions and processes across the organization.
• Produce sales trend reports and project merchandise requirements.
• Monitor performance against plan and flag risks or opportunities.
• Enter and manage purchase orders and monitor shipments, RTVs, transfers.
• Maintain vendor pricing and vendor records; coordinate with stakeholders.
