Job summary

Elaxis is seeking a detail-driven AP/AR specialist to work remotely with Australian clients. You will handle supplier invoices, forex settlements, and multi-currency reconciliations in Xero, starting with a defined client and expanding as confidence grows, reporting to the Principal.

Hours follow Australian business hours; fully remote for one client. Benefits include HMO, wellness allowance, 10 paid leave credits, and a laptop after month three with security software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AP/AR or bookkeeping for Australian clients.
• Advanced, hands-on Xero with multi-currency and bank reconciliation.
• AUD/USD multi-currency experience with forex settlement matching.
• Excellent written and spoken English; client communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Process AP: supplier invoices, credit notes, expense claims and reconciliations.
• Manage AR: issue invoices in AUD/foreign currency and allocate receipts.
• Import and reconcile USD/foreign currency bank files in Xero.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and month-end close for AP/AR to GL.
• Be first point of contact for client AP/AR via phone, video, email.
• Handle admin tasks like e-signatures and Excel as needed.
