Job summary

Emapta, Philippines-based partner to an Australian fitness education provider, invites an Accounts Assistant to join our remote finance team. You will support AP/AR, reconciliations, and monthly close while maintaining precise records.

This project-based role offers a 22.5-hour workweek and a permanent work-from-home setup. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years in accounting and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• More than 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations, or a related role
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts
• Prepare and verify invoices, billing statements, purchase orders, and supporting financial documents
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations
• Monitor outstanding balances and support collection follow-ups
• Maintain accurate financial records, files, and supporting documentation
• Prepare monthly financial reports and accounting schedules
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Enter financial data into accounting systems and verify record accuracy
• Review expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors on financial transactions
• Support audit activities by providing required documentation and supporting schedules
