Job summary

Yempo Inc. is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to manage a remote team delivering Australian accounting, tax and payroll services. You will coordinate workflows, ensure timely, accurate accounting records and client communications across multiple clients.

Ideal candidates bring CPA progress, strong Xero experience, and a proactive approach to improving processes and SOPs within a cloud-based practice environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Australian bookkeeping, business services, and tax experience within an accounting firm.
• CPA qualification or substantial progress toward CPA.
• Strong experience with Xero, Xero Payroll and related practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow and job management for tax, bookkeeping and payroll tasks.
• Coordinate a remote team, monitor deadlines and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Provide client service and ongoing communication to Australian clients.
• Develop and improve processes and SOPs using Karbon and Notion.
• Support onboarding, training and performance feedback for team members.
