Job summary

Doist is hiring a Full-Time Accounting Specialist to join a fully remote team. You will own day-to-day transactional accounting, reconcile bank and vendor accounts, and help build out SOPs as the first dedicated accounting hire.

Expect close collaboration with leadership and growth opportunities as the company scales. Responsibilities include bank/vendor reconciliations, transaction logging into Xero, and improving receipt capture tools.

Qualifications

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented to reconcile accounts precisely.
• Strong problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies.
• High integrity with transparent communication of mistakes.
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Daily bank and vendor reconciliations and log transactions into Xero.
• Investigate discrepancies and flag unbilled charges for PMs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve charge discrepancies.
• Manage receipts and document processes; help build SOPs for accounting.
• Handle vendor communications and processing of payments.
• Support month-end close and recurring journal entries.
