Job summary

Market Performance Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger integrity, close processes, and high-quality financial reporting in a remote offshore setting. The role will oversee 1–3 direct reports and partner with cross-functional teams to explain results and resolve issues.

The successful candidate will have a CPA preferred, ~5 years of progressive accounting experience, and strong U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Approximately 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with close process, GL analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Experience supervising 1-3 staff in a remote environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with deadlines.
• Prepare and review journal entries and schedules for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany activity, payroll.
• Perform GL and balance sheet analysis, investigate variances, ensure corrections.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and alignment with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations; ensure items are resolved.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff; set priorities and provide feedback.
• Maintain controls, documentation, and close checklists; improve processes.
• Support inventory and cost of goods sold accounting as needed.
