Job summary

Treantly, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support a Canadian accounting firm delivering accounting and tax services to owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. You will manage client portfolios, oversee engagements, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires strong knowledge of Canadian standards, meticulous organization, and the ability to handle multiple engagements while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation required.
• 5+ years public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax.
• Experience preparing Canadian corporate and personal tax returns.
• Hands-on with compilation engagements and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure timely delivery of accounting and tax services.
• Perform controller-level responsibilities including financial reporting and oversight.
• Review bookkeeping, compilations, and tax returns prepared by team members.
• Prepare financial statements and Canadian corporate tax returns.
• Oversee payroll processing, GST filings, and T4/T5 information returns.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement efficient workflows.
