Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Reliability and Performance Management Regional Manager in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu to drive strategic reliability, performance, and commercial compliance across regional thermal power plants, collaborating with station leadership, technical teams, and central diagnostic units.

You will formulate KPIs, monitor heat rates and fuel efficiency, oversee RCFA, and coach regional teams to strengthen asset integrity while delivering safe, cost-efficient operations and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 7–10 years in operations, asset management, or reliability in power/industrial utility sectors.
• Licenced Engineer status or equivalent certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Formulate strategic performance metrics and annual benchmarks, setting availability and efficiency KPIs while monitoring heat rates, boiler efficiencies, and power consumption to optimize fleet reliability and fuel cost efficiency.
• Oversee RCFA for major outages and lead predictive engineering programs across regional assets.
• Ensure regional operations align with service agreements, grid codes, commercial obligations, safety mandates, and regulatory requirements (ERC, DOE).
• Coach regional plant teams, manage talent development, and build a resilient leadership pipeline across RPM pillars.

As Reliability and Performance Management (RPM) Regional Manager, you will bridge national directives and site-level execution by driving the strategic implementation of Reliability, Performance, and Commercial Compliance across regional thermal power plants. You will work closely with station leadership, technical teams, and central diagnostic units to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Formulate strategic performance metrics and annual benchmarks, setting availability and efficiency KPIs while monitoring heat rates, boiler efficiencies, and power consumption to optimize fleet reliability and fuel cost efficiency.


• Oversee root cause failure analyses (RCFA) for major outages and lead condition-based monitoring and predictive engineering programs across regional assets.


• Ensure regional operations align with service agreements, grid codes, commercial obligations, safety mandates, and regulatory requirements (ERC, DOE).


• Coach regional plant teams, manage talent development, set measurable goals across the three RPM pillars, and build a resilient leadership pipeline.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering


• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in operations, asset management, performance monitoring, or reliability engineering within power generation, industrial, or utility sectors


• Licensed Engineer status or equivalent professional certification is advantageous

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Expertise in leading multidisciplinary Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and auditing predictive maintenance (PdM) techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and lube oil diagnostics


• Advanced capability to analyze plant heat balances, thermal efficiency, coal blend impacts, controllable/uncontrollable losses, and steam cycle degradation


• Strong knowledge of regional dispatch rules, grid codes, availability targets, ramp-rate compliance, and commercial penalty structures
