Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Licensed Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and legal dispensing of medicines in a community pharmacy setting. The role includes providing patient counseling, maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. The pharmacist ensures all operations uphold professional and regulatory standards while supporting the overall efficiency of the pharmacy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispensing and Patient Care

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications following legal and professional standards.
  • Provide clear and appropriate patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Promote rational and safe use of medicines.

• Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with RA 10918 (Pharmacy Law), DOH, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain pharmacy permits, PRC license display, and all necessary documentation.
  • Implement and follow all pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Inventory and Supply Management

  • Monitor medication stocks, expiration dates, and storage conditions.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries, checking quality, and documenting stock movements.
  • Report stock variances, damages, or shortages to proper channels.

• Customer Service

  • Assist customers with medication inquiries and provide professional pharmaceutical advice.
  • Manage customer concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Promote a customer-centered environment within the pharmacy.

• Pharmacy Operations Support

  • Assist in daily operations such as cashiering, documentation, and report preparation when needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and proper organization of the pharmacy area.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for operational needs.

• Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate prescription records and required logs.
  • Prepare reports related to inventory, dispensing errors (if any), and pharmacy operations.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license (Required).

• Willing to work in Abucay, Bataan.

• Preferably with community pharmacy experience, but new board passers are welcome.
