Job summary

The Generics Pharmacy (Primagen Pharma) is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our Javier/ Leyte retail team. You will dispense medications accurately, counsel customers, and maintain proper records in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Pharmacy degree and a Philippines license, with strong knowledge of local laws, and excellent English and Filipino communication. Willingness to serve Javier and Barugo, Leyte areas is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Must be a Registered and Licensed Pharmacist in the Philippines.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine pharmaceutical laws, regulations, ethics, and pharmacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and safely per prescriptions and laws.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and interactions.
• Provide medication counselling and pharmaceutical advice to customers, including usage and side effects.
• Maintain complete records of prescriptions and dispensing activities per regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, storage, stock monitoring and rotation.
• Conduct quality checks on medicines to ensure standards.
• Monitor and document adverse drug reactions and other concerns.
• Promote medication adherence and educate customers on proper use.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy assistants and technicians when applicable.

About the role

We are looking for a licensed and customer-focused Registered Pharmacist to join for our The Generics Pharmacy (Primagen Pharma). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, providing professional pharmaceutical guidance, maintaining pharmacy records and inventory, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with prescriptions, applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, potential drug interactions, contraindications, and other medication-related concerns.

• Provide appropriate medication counselling and pharmaceutical advice to customers, including proper usage, dosage, side effects, precautions, and contraindications.

• Maintain complete and accurate records of prescriptions, dispensing activities, and other pharmaceutical transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock monitoring, proper rotation, and ensuring product quality and integrity.

• Conduct quality checks on medicines and pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with established standards.

• Monitor and properly document adverse drug reactions and other medication-related concerns.

• Promote proper medication adherence and educate customers on the correct administration and use of their medications.

• Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and compliant pharmacy environment.

• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy assistants, technicians, and other support staff, when applicable.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

• Must be a Registered and Licensed Pharmacist in the Philippines.

• Strong knowledge of Philippine pharmaceutical laws, regulations, professional ethics, and pharmacy practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with customers.
