Job summary

Meralco is seeking a Registered Electrical Engineer to join our field-oriented teams across multiple distribution functions. You will oversee design processing, field inspections, and project cost estimates while ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

The role is 100% on site and requires a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Proficiency in MS Office is essential, and prior relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.
• Possesses a valid driver's license; able to travel to project sites as required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Preferably with related work experience.
• Open to 100% onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee work order execution with timely updates and documentation.
• Supervise implementation teams and inspectors to ensure quality and safety.
• Evaluate completed work and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors on referrals, SLA, and billing.
• Provide technical inputs and updates on project and work order status to customers.

Meralco is looking for Registered Electrical Engineers.

About the role

Registered Electrical Engineers may be assigned in any of the following organizations within the Meralco franchise area: Distribution Systems, Distribution Connection/Services Design, Customer Sales, or other organizations as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee work order execution, ensuring timely updates, accurate documentation, material approval/disapproval, inspection reviews, and successful completion of work orders

• Supervise implementation teams and quality inspectors, monitoring work progress, compliance with standards, and quality of workmanship while driving actions to meet targets

• Improve operational efficiency and service delivery by evaluating completed work, identifying issues, and recommending corrective, preventive, and process improvement solutions

• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors, handling referrals, outsourced services, SLA requirements, billing concerns, and contractor performance monitoring

• Support technical and customer service activities, including evaluating new technologies and products, resolving operational challenges, and providing customers with project and work order status updates

• Conduct design processing, evaluation and completion of Project Covered applications related to government infrastructure projects or telecommunications infrastructure projects

• Conduct field inspection, survey, technical assessment and preliminary design cost estimates of project sites and existing distribution facilities

• Prepare optimal design schemes, engineering drawings, and cost estimates for required distribution facilities

• Perform customer-centric initiatives on revenue and customer relationship, focusing on increasing kWh sales and customer base and mitigating system loss

• Provide technical and engineering inputs used in assessment and implementation of energy solutions

About you

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer

• Possesses a valid driver's license; able to travel to project sites as required

• Proficient in MS Office systems (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint)

• Preferably with related work experience

• Open to work 100% onsite
