Job description

Position:

Regional Sales Manager

Location:

Northwest or South Region, Mexico.

Northwest Area: Tijuana, Baja California; or

South Area: Veracruz.

Reporting to: Business Manager

Founded in 1992, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. is a global company engaged in the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of construction machinery and related equipment. Through its global production facilities, sales network, and service infrastructure, Zoomlion provides customers with equipment and solutions. As our business in Mexico continues to grow, we are seeking sales professionals with construction machinery industry experience and team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Business Development: Develop and execute sales plans for the assigned territory, leading the team to achieve quarterly and annual sales, payment collection, and market development targets.
  • Customer and Key Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with construction contractors, equipment rental companies, project owners, and other target customers, building long-term partnerships with key accounts.
  • Customer Records Management: Establish and regularly update customer records, accurately documenting customer needs, existing equipment fleets, purchasing plans, and sales opportunity progress.
  • Sales Opportunity and Project Follow-up: Identify market opportunities and coordinate with relevant product lines on product recommendations, equipment demonstrations, solution development, and quotations to secure orders.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Participate in negotiations for key projects, advance contract signing within the company’s authorization framework, and follow up on delivery, payment, and contract execution.
  • Channel Collaboration: Work with dealers and other partners, as appropriate to the regional sales model, on customer acquisition, market coverage, and sales support.
  • Customer Service Coordination: Collaborate with after-sales, spare parts, and technical teams to support customers in using products, resolve issues, and improve customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Team Management: Coach, train, and manage the sales team, establish clear responsibilities and performance indicators, and regularly review sales progress to improve execution.
  • Market Analysis and Promotion: Collect and analyze information on regional demand, industry projects, competitors, and pricing to develop targeted marketing and sales strategies.
  • Business Performance and Risk Management: Monitor sales forecasts, orders, payment collections, gross margins, and sales expenses; optimize resource allocation; and identify and report transaction risks in accordance with company requirements.
  • Reporting: Submit regular sales forecasts, business updates, and market analysis reports to regional management and headquarters, including recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Marketing, International Trade, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Sales experience in construction machinery or heavy equipment is required , along with familiarity with the Mexican market and customer purchasing processes.
  • At least 10 years of relevant sales experience, including at least 3 years of sales team management experience.
  • Experience developing business with construction contractors, equipment rental companies, major projects, or key accounts.
  • An established network of relevant customers is preferred.
  • Ability to independently develop regional sales plans, manage sales opportunities, and close deals, supported by a verifiable sales track record.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English , with the ability to handle business correspondence, reporting, and meetings in English.
  • Strong leadership, team coaching, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate with headquarters and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, product presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand the main specifications and applications of construction machinery, assess customer needs, and coordinate with technical teams to provide suitable solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using CRM systems is preferred.
  • Availability for domestic travel within Mexico and occasional international business travel as required.
