Job summary

Shell’s Downstream & Renewables Controllers organization, a global team of finance professionals, is seeking a Controller, Local Reporting based in Manila. You will lead statutory and regulatory reporting across the Americas and Asia, managing a team of LSR and US/Local GAAP specialists to ensure accurate submissions and audit readiness.

This role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and regulators, with a focus on governance, process improvement, and climate

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification with strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting.
• Experience with US GAAP and external audits is an advantage.
• Ability to engage CFOs, executives, boards, and audit committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory and regulatory reporting, compliance, and financial governance for entities in the Americas and Asia.
• Manage a team of Local Statutory Reporting and US/Local GAAP specialists to ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive timely adoption of reporting requirements.
• Lead climate and sustainability reporting initiatives in line with local rules.
• Ensure audit readiness and effective remediation of findings with internal/external auditors.
• Provide insightful analysis on financial results and key risks to support decisions.
• Maintain strong governance, internal controls, and SOX/compliance frameworks.
