About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Tarlac, Central Luzon, offering the opportunity to work in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems across a variety of commercial and industrial applications. This role is critical to ensuring our clients receive reliable cooling solutions and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect and commission refrigeration systems and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and longevity

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems using appropriate testing equipment and tools

• Repair or replace faulty components including compressors, condensers, evaporators and controls

• Test refrigerant levels and recharge systems as required

• Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken, including maintenance schedules and repair reports

• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs from clients

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling and disposal

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding service work and provide professional advice on system efficiency and upgrades

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification or certification in refrigeration and air conditioning technology or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience working as a refrigeration technician in commercial or industrial settings

• Sound knowledge of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics and electrical systems

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters and refrigerant recovery equipment

• A strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the refrigeration industry

• The ability to read technical drawings, schematics and installation manuals

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and customer service abilities

• Physical fitness and capability to work in confined spaces when necessary

• Reliable transport to travel between client sites

• A valid driving licence is desirable
