Job summary

Genpact is seeking a capable Record To Report (R2R) Team Lead to oversee reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. You will mentor junior staff, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex financial processes.

The role emphasizes process improvements, adherence to controls, and leveraging ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) to deliver high-quality financial outputs for global clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• 3-5 Years experience in Reconciliations, Month-end reporting, financial reporting, General accounting, Client management
• Retail Industry Foundation understanding of billing, payments, credits, and basic accounting principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable learning systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Power BI and MS Excel

Responsibilities

1. Follows a variety of generally defined procedures under general guidance within functional disciplines such as controlling,

accounting, taxation, credit, audit, treasury, etc. Works independently and output is occasionally reviewed while in progress.

The supervisor is consulted for assistance in problem areas.

2. Uses financial theories and practices to provide guidance and/or training to lower-level co-workers within the same or job-related work group on moderately complex duties.

3. Handles a variety of inquiries and develops solutions for moderately complex issues. Solutions are often based on the review

of prior practices and/or experiences in similar situations. Most complex problem solving may require the use of experience,

analysis, and research to resolve. Uses intermediate analytical skills to analyze trends or finance data. Use short-term planning skills when forecasting or providing guidance to clients.

4. Decisions or actions are based on more alternatives and greater adaptation to circumstances, having a clear impact on

operational effectiveness of work operations, schedules, or performance goals.

5. Work tasks encompass concepts within one or more disciplines/practices within one department/location. Working tasks

might include:

• Calculates and analyzes unit cost statements to value inventories, international contracts, and transfer prices
• Prepare preliminary economic research and forecasting
• Generates and verifies monthly and quarterly reports for income, property, plant equipment, investments and Receivables
• Leads audits of moderate to high risk and complexity to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, adequacy of
• operational and internal controls, and identification of administrative efficiencies that will lead to savings in financial resources and time.
• Provides accounting services, such as financial information, analysis, and guidance. Provides guidance for use in planning, controlling, and decision-making
• Prepares and analyzes key financial information to generate profit and loss, and other reports which directly impact business decisions.
• Calculates, analyzes, and explains variances using unit cost statements, pricing analysis, etc. and communicates these to finance management and line management
• Ensures financial data integrity and accuracy
• Participates in and may lead project teams

6. Primary contacts are typically internal and on a professional, supervisory, or co-worker level.

7. Interaction is focused on exchanging information directly related to the professional discipline, usually with explanation and discussion with an audience which is knowledgeable in the subject area.

8. Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with values and ethical standards
