Job summary

State Street seeks an experienced Reconciliation Manager to lead the daily operations of the Reconciliation Management team. You will supervise processes for Cash, Position, and Non-Core reconciliations while maintaining client satisfaction and meeting SLAs.

The role requires strong communication with global teams, risk awareness, and the ability to drive improvements across regions. A finance-related degree and 5–7 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree in finance, business, technology or related field with 5-7 years of experience.
  • Proven client communication and interaction at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of Middle/Back Office operations across mutual funds and related assets.
  • Familiarity with TLM/TLP and Intellimatch; knowledge of wide tech tools is a plus.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint skills.

  • Drive process excellence in reconciliation through proactive exception lifecycle management.
  • Ensure quality service delivery and maintain positive client sentiment, including direct client interactions.

  • Lead transformation projects and manage KPIs, KRIs, and OKRs for the group.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and SSC management for timely follow-up and resolution.

Job Description:
Who we are looking for

In this position, you will collaborate with State Street teams worldwide to lead the Reconciliation group supporting State Street reconciliation of ABOR / IBOR to Custody . You will be responsible for supervising and delivering all daily activities of the Reconciliation management team within a dynamic and challenging environment. The role requires initiating and fostering effective communication and professional relationships with business operations and IT teams to uphold the high standards of service provided to our clients.

This role offers operational and managerial diversity at a senior level within the Reconciliation team. The Reconciliation Officer as the primary contact for internal and external clients. The team is tasked with conducting Cash, Position, and Non-Core reconciliations and supporting various functional teams to resolve exceptions within agreed SLAs. The ideal candidate will be an engaged manager, ensuring their teams deliver excellent service to both internal and external clients, respond promptly to client queries, and elevate unresolved issues to management for optimal resolution.

What you will be responsible for
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the Reconciliation Management team for designated units or clients
  • Drive process excellence in reconciliation through proactive exception lifecycle management
  • Ensure quality service delivery and maintain positive client sentiment, including direct client interactions
  • Support robust risk management and control practices
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of standards, methodologies, processes, systems, and technologies necessary for investment management operations
  • Conduct advanced analysis in areas of expertise, identify and address work-processing issues, and recommend improvements to streamline operations
  • Coordinate with colleagues across regions or divisions globally to resolve client issues
  • Review reconciliation processes to identify operational trends, issues, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Perform responsibilities independently within established guidelines and procedures
  • Proactively manage Client Change Request items affecting enterprise processes and operating models
  • Communicate effectively regarding issues with clients and SSC management, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in finance, business, technology, or related field, with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proven ability in client communication and interaction at all levels
  • Deep understanding of Middle or Back Office operations, including end-to-end processes for Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, ETFs, and other investment vehicles; proficiency in multiple asset classes such as derivatives, bank loans, fixed income, OTC products, etc., and comprehensive knowledge of their life cycles
  • Familiarity with key technologies supporting investment management operations, including TLM/TLP and Intellimatch
  • Experience in leading organizational change and familiarity with change management principles, techniques, and tools
  • Advantageous experience in leveraging technology solutions such as low-code tools, SQL, Python, or similar platforms and AI
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
