Job summary

Bonpack Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Officer (Direct Materials) to manage procurement of raw materials and maintain strong supplier relationships. You will support the Purchasing Manager and ensure timely supply of inputs for finished goods.

The role covers resin/adhesive, inks/solvent, packaging components, and proactive supplier sourcing. Strong MS Office skills and experience in direct materials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or other Business related course.
• At least 3 years work experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role.
• Preferably with procurement experience with manufacturing.
• Direct material experience.
• Monitoring of raw materials and ordering.
• Can look for alternative suppliers local and international.
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Pro-active, organized & efficient, willing to multi-task and able to work under minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Highly competent in: Big Picture Thinking, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Planning & Organizing, and Responsibility & Accountability.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of Raw Materials (Resin, Adhesive, Inks, Solvent, Spout, Zip lock, Boxes, Liner).
• Communicate with suppliers for quotations, lead times, orders and delivery commitments.
• Prepare raw material monthly aging report.
• Provide a summary of Raw Materials and Finished Goods for billing.
• Update and encode PR and PO in Prime and Quadrant system.
• Request supplier documentation requirements and ensure compliance.
• Monitor emails and chats consistently.
• Monitor material expiration/aging.
• Conduct supplier evaluation.
• Search and source potential suppliers.
