Job summary

DAEA TI Transportation Philippines Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to install, configure, test, and maintain transmission equipment and IP-based networks at project sites.

You will manage VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and network connectivity, and support IP/MPLS and fiber optic systems. The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco or similar switches/routers, basic routing, and the ability to read network diagrams and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical background in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in network, telecommunications, or transmission systems.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, subnetting, and basic routing.
• Experience in configuring Cisco or similar network switches and routers is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of fiber optic communication and transmission systems.
• Ability to perform network troubleshooting using Ping, Traceroute, ARP, and related tools.
• Ability to understand network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Willingness to work at project sites and adapt to project schedules.
• Ability to communicate and prepare basic technical documents in English.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of network and transmission equipment
• Configure and troubleshoot L2/L3 switches, routers, and IP-based communication networks
• Manage VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, gateways, routing, and network connectivity
• Support IP/MPLS networks and transmission equipment configuration and operation
• Inspect and troubleshoot fiber optic cables, ODFs, and communication cable connections
• Perform OTDR tests and optical power measurements for fiber optic networks
• Perform network troubleshooting using Ping, ARP, Traceroute, and other diagnostic tools
• Manage equipment configuration backup and restoration
• Prepare and maintain technical documents such as Network Diagrams, IP Address Lists, Port Assignments, and Connectivity Tables
• Support Installation Inspection, Power-On Tests, Integration Tests, PCT/SST, and Commissioning activities
• Coordinate technical matters with vendors, system engineers, subcontractors, and site teams
• Analyze and troubleshoot network and transmission equipment faults at site

• Experience with ECI, Ribbon, or similar transmission equipment

• Experience with Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, or similar network equipment

• Experience using OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and other fiber optic testing equipment

• Experience in Network Testing, System Integration, and Commissioning

• CCNA or other relevant network certifications are an advantage
