Job summary

Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center - Mandaluyong Inc. seeks an experienced Radiology Department Supervisor to help formulate operational plans, oversee staff across Radiology, Ultrasound, CT and X-ray services, and ensure safe, high-quality imaging.

The role includes supervising procedures, ensuring radiation safety, coordinating with doctors, managing records and supplies, scheduling staff, and contributing to policy development while maintaining patient confidentiality and service

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating the operational plan for the Radiology Department.
• Plan, assign, supervise and review staff across Radiology, Ultrasound, CT and other X-ray services.
• Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Ensure all procedures are performed safely (venipuncture, contrast, invasive procedures).
• Establish priorities for evaluation or research and monitor progress; assist data compilation for departmental evaluation.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Review patient care plans and ensure proper implementation.
• Coordinate with staff for supplies and prepare purchase requisitions.
• Regularly inspect records, stocks, supplies and equipment for completeness.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment from suppliers.
• Assess the quality of produced images.
• Coordinate and supervise doctor’s requests before, during, and after each procedure.
• Coordinate requests for radiologic services.
• Prepare monthly census and departmental analysis.
• Assist in developing administrative and operational policies, procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate activities to maximize impact and optimize resource use.
• Handle immediate concerns and complaints of doctors, patients and customers.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure high-quality care with minimal radiation exposure.
• Assist in developing in-service training for Rad Tech Staff.
• Prepare reports on insubordination, patient complaints or incidents and submit to department head.
• Plan monthly staff schedules and rotate tasks weekly with rest days.
• Perform duties of radiologic technologist staff as needed.
• Subject to on-call as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

I. Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in formulating the operational plan for the Radiology Department.

• Helps in planning, assigning, supervising and reviewing work of staff involved in Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scan and other X-Ray services

• Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a Radiologist

• Ensures that all procedures are conducted in a safe manner, i.e., venipuncture, contrast administration, and invasive procedures.

• Establishes priorities for evaluation or research development and monitors progress; assists in compilation of statistical data for departmental evaluation purposes.

• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information

• Counterchecks plans for patient care and sees to it that they are properly implemented.

• Coordinates with the staff for the requisition of supplies needed to operate the unit and prepares purchase requisition form of supply

• Assists in Conducting regular inspection of records, stocks, supplies and equipment to determine and ensure completeness.

• Ensures preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment from the suppliers

• Assesses the quality of the images produced

• Coordinates and supervises the implementation of doctor’s requests before, during and after each procedure

• Coordinates requests for radiologic services

• Prepares monthly census and analysis of the departments

• Assists in the development of administrative and operational policies, procedures and regulations.

• Coordinates activities with departmental staff to assure maximum effect, minimize duplication and enhance better utilization of resources.

• Handles immediate concerns and complaints of doctors, patients and other customers

• Monitors staff performance to ensure that the highest level of care with the least amount of radiation exposure is being administered to patients.

• Assists in the development of in-service training for Rad Tech Staff.

• Prepares reports regarding insubordination, patient complaint or any incident and submits it to the department head

• Plans monthly schedule and work assignments of staff which include weekly rotation to the different tasks at the department and rest days

• Performs duties of radiologic technologist staff as needed

• Subject to “on Call” as the need arises

• Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time
