X RAY
Maintains a high standard of radiography.
Operates x‑ray equipment and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as kilo voltage peak (kVp), milliampere (mA) and time and adjust tube distance based on the knowledge of radiographic exposure technique and protocols.
Assists the Radiologist in the procedure as directed.
Performs diagnostic procedures that will require one’s independent judgment with initiative and applies knowledge in the established practice parameters such as technical factors, selections, proper patient and part positioning, proper image/patient identification and proper image receptors.
Applies proper patient care and management and practices sterile and aseptic techniques in procedural aspect.
Performs General and Routine Diagnostic Procedures: Special Radiographic Procedures with contrast study and guided fluoroscopy, OR/Theater radiography and mobile radiography in acute and emergency cases like ER Wards, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal ICU.
Performs Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks to ensure and maintain the image quality standards.
Instructs and educates patients regarding the procedures in an effort to obtain patient cooperation and confidence to reduce anxiety.
Practices the rules on radiation protection with the use of radiation shielding devices/apparels and stringently follows the prescribed safety standards and techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients, medical staff and the general public.
Prepares supplies needed for x‐ray special procedures such as syringes, needles, dyes/contrast medium, gloves, micropore and others.
Performs darkroom duties such as processing of films, changing of solutions, cleaning of x‑ray processor and safelight testing.
Provides aftercare of the x‑ray machines and equipment such as x‑ray film processor, computed radiography digitizer and monitor, CD publisher, film printer, mechanical injector and devices such as x‑ray cassettes, grid caliper, negatoscope/view box, ID camera and other protective apparels like lead gowns, thyroid shield, gonadal shield, goggles and gloves.
Maintains confidentiality of patient’s record and medical histories.
Respects patient’s privacy and confidentiality.
Documents and processes patient’s data to ensure that chief complaints and reason for undergoing radiological procedures are diagnosed properly.
Performs clerical duties such as encoding, sorting, filing of x‑ray reports, patient records and files, and does duties of a receptionist like answering phones, attending queries, arranging of patient’s appointment schedule for x‑ray procedures and registration of patient clinical information.
Conducts daily inventory of stocks and ensures availability of supplies at all times.
Prepares reports that may be assigned by the superior such as statistical report, income report, consumption report, operational report and film analysis report and other related reports within the agreed submission timelines.
Follows rotation duty shifts and answers on‑call stats/emergency procedures.
Ensures cleanliness of the work areas and equipment at all times.
Works conscientiously and strictly follows department’s operating standard protocols.

CT SCAN
Monitors calibration and routine checks of equipment.
Performs tasks of the CT Scan technologist to operate the machines performing the CT Scan procedures as needed.
Prepares necessary materials needed for scanning of patients.
Performs duties of receptionist such as:
Answering phone calls
Answering queries regarding services offered
Entertaining patients who are scheduled and for scheduled patients, especially those who require preparation and fasting
Encoding the charge slips and official receipt number in the log book
Sorting and filing CT Scan results and forwarding the same to corresponding nurse’s station
Coordinates with the Radiologist and attending physicians for medical concerns related to patients and provides assistance.
Prepares CT Scan films and forms for reading.
Maintains the workplace clean.
Conducts daily inventory of stocks on a regular basis to maintain adequate levels of supplies.
Complies with the policies and standards of the company.
Maintains licensure/certification through continuing education.
Subject to “on-call” emergency patients as need arises.
Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
