Job summary

Virginia Farms, Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems across our Cebu operations.

The role requires handling blast freezers, chillers, cold rooms, and walk-in freezers, and ensuring air‑conditioning and ventilation in the slaughterhouse meet safety standards. The ideal candidate has NC II/III RAC or HVAC credentials, 1 year RAC experience (1–2 years preferred), and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications required for RAC servicing and installation.
• 1 year RAC servicing experience required; 1–2 years preferred.
• Willing to be stationed in Asturias, Cebu.
• Must have NC II/III RAC or HVAC credentials.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems (blast freezers, chillers, cold rooms, walk-ins).
• Maintain air-conditioning and ventilation in Slaughterhouse operation.
• Work weekends for maintenance and emergencies.
• Monitor temperatures to meet food safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in compressors, condensers, piping and control panels.
• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Handle refrigerants per environmental and safety regulations.

Job description

Key Responsibility:

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems such as blast freezers, chillers, cold rooms, and walk-in freezers.

• Maintain air‑conditioning and ventilation systems in all areas in Slaughterhouse operation.

• Must be available to work some weekends for maintenance and emergency repairs.

• Monitor and control temperatures to meet food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

• Experience in food processing or slaughterhouse refrigeration systems is preferred.

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in compressors, evaporators, condensers, control panels, and piping systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.

• Properly handle refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• At least High School Graduate or Senior High School Graduate.

• With Vocational Course NC II or NC III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Servicing, Electro‑Mechanical Technology, and HVAC.

• NC II or NC III certification in RAC, Electro‑Mechanical Technology, or HVAC is required for this position.

• HVAC certification for this position is an advantage.

• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing AC and refrigeration systems.

• With at least 1‑2 years of related experience in RAC servicing and installation is an advantage.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in RAC servicing and installation is required.

• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

• Willing to be assigned in Asturias, Cebu.
