Job summary

Australian Outsource Desk Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and work closely with an Australian-based construction and development team.

This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor who already understands the Australian construction industry and has hands-on experience with quantity take-offs, estimating, cost planning, construction scheduling, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Estimator, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Australian builders, contractors, developers, or construction companies preferred.
• Strong experience in quantity take-offs, estimating, BOQ preparation, cost planning, and/or construction scheduling.
• Good understanding of Australian construction practices, standards, processes, and documentation.
• Able to read and interpret Australian construction drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Experience with residential construction or property development projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cost calculations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to work with Australian-based team.
• Capable of managing deadlines and working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost estimates from drawings and specs.
• Assist with BOQs, pricing, cost planning, and tender preparation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for quantities and materials.
• Assist with construction scheduling and project timelines.
• Prepare and maintain project estimates, schedules, reports, and other docs.
• Coordinate with the Australian project team regarding costing, timelines, and documentation.
• Review subcontractor and supplier pricing when required.
• Monitor project costs and provide updates to the project team.
• Ensure estimates and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost estimates from construction drawings, plans, and specifications

• Assist with BOQs, pricing, cost planning, and tender preparation

• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify quantities, materials, and project requirements

• Assist with construction scheduling and project timelines

• Prepare and maintain project estimates, schedules, reports, and other documentation

• Coordinate with the Australian project team regarding project requirements, costing, timelines, and documentation

• Assist in reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing when required

• Monitor project costs and provide updates to the project team

• Ensure estimates, documentation, and assigned tasks are completed accurately and within required deadlines

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Estimator, or similar role

• Hands-on experience working with Australian builders, contractors, developers, or construction companies is highly preferred

• Strong experience in quantity take-offs, estimating, BOQ preparation, cost planning, and/or construction scheduling
