Job summary

Sunpower Partners Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and project budgets while ensuring technical specifications and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant experience, a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, and a valid engineering license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Licensed electrical/ mechanical engineer is required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or related engineering fields.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and engineering standards.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for electrical works.
  • Review drawings and documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs from electrical and structural drawings.
  • Assist in bid documents, tenders, and commercial proposals.

About the Role

Sunpower Partners Corporation is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and project budgets while ensuring technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for electrical works.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs from electrical and structural drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documents, tenders, and commercial proposals.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Monitor project costs against approved budgets and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to source quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders, and other project documentation.
  • Recommend cost-effective alternatives and value engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and site teams throughout project execution.
  • Prepare cost reports, project updates, and other required documentation for management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Licensed electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, project costing, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and engineering standards.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Experience in quantity take-offs, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel). Experience with estimating or engineering software is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project coordination abilities.
  • Willing to travel to project sites when necessary.
