Role Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of web and mobile applications. This contract role focuses on building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium and Appium, collaborating with developers and product teams to define test strategies, and identifying, documenting, and tracking defects. Day-to-day tasks include writing test scripts, performing regression and functional testing, participating in code and test case reviews, and contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines. The position is hybrid, based in Mandaluyong, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance, including test planning, test design, and automation using Selenium and Appium.
• Experience with Quality Control and Product Quality, focusing on defect identification, root cause analysis, and validation of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Understanding of Quality Management principles, including process standardization, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for managing test cases and defects.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications; knowledge of performance and security testing concepts is an advantage.
