Job summary

CHEQ Software Testing is seeking a seniorQuality Engineering leader to define and scale our QA strategy across projects and client engagements. You will drive governance, metrics, and an automation roadmap while guiding teams through modern testing practices.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, and product owners to align quality with business goals and ensure testing is embedded in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related computing field and strong software testing background.
• At least 10 years in Software Testing/QA or Quality Engineering with leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, DevOps and modern testing tech.
• Experience with Web/Mobile/Enterprise/Cloud/SaaS/ERP testing portfolios.
• Proven track record in automation, API, performance testing, CI/CD, and test management.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and evaluation of AI outputs.

Job Description

• Define, drive, and continuously improve the overall Quality Engineering strategy, governance framework, standards, methodologies, automation roadmap, and testing practices across projects, programs, and client engagements.


• Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to align quality objectives with business and delivery goals.


• Ensure testing activities are effectively integrated into Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models to support continuous quality and rapid release cycles.


• Establish and govern quality metrics, KPIs, release readiness measures, and risk management processes, providing executive-level reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.


• Provide governance and oversight for testing operations, including resource planning, budget management, test environments, test data, defect management processes, testing deliverables, and compliance requirements.


• Drive organizational adoption of Quality Engineering practices, automation, API testing, performance testing, shift-left testing, continuous testing, and AI-assisted testing approaches.


• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing Quality Engineering teams, including Test Leads, Test Engineers, and future technical leaders.


• Support proposal development, solutioning activities, capability presentations, and client engagements requiring Quality Engineering expertise.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related four-year course.


• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering, including leadership of Quality Engineering teams across multiple projects, programs, technologies, and stakeholder groups.


• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and Quality Engineering principles, including strategy, governance, quality metrics, risk management, release readiness, and modern testing technologies.


• Experience leading testing services for Web, Mobile, Enterprise, Cloud, SaaS, ERP, and integrated business applications.


• Experience overseeing automation, API, performance, CI/CD, and test management solutions.


• Good understanding of programming and scripting concepts using technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, or equivalent.


• Experience managing budgets, resource utilization, workforce planning, operational delivery, and stakeholder and vendor relationships.


• Knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI- generated outputs is highly preferred.
