The Internal Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that company processes, procedures, and outputs comply with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting audits, monitoring the Quality Management System (QMS), identifying non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position works closely with various departments to uphold operational excellence, compliance, and documentation integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits across departments.
- Identify non-conformances and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CARs).
- Review, update, and manage controlled documents such as SOPs, policies, and work instructions.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating for external audits or inspections.
- Support risk assessments and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
- Document audit findings and ensure all actions are properly tracked and closed.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Perform other quality-related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree inEngineering,Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certifications inInternal AuditingorQuality Systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)are an advantage.
- 1-3 years of experience inquality assurance,compliance, oraudit functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
