Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure manufacturing processes operate correctly with the right tools, materials and processes.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conforming products and meet defined quality goals. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least five years in semiconductor QA, strong communication and teamwork, and proficiency with PC tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years work experience as Quality Assurance Engineer in a Semiconductor or related Industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Good interpersonal relationship.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Knowledgeable in ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Implement Quality Management Systems.
• Manage timely and effective resolution of customer feedback.
• Work with operations team to address internal quality issues and RMAs per assigned area.
• Oversee performance and provide improvement plans for incoming wafer and raw material issues.
• Provide immediate quarantine and accurate disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
• Review accuracy of suppliers’ SCAR report and effectiveness monitoring.
• Maintain quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
• Analyze quality data and regular update of quality report.
• Failure Analysis review and recommendations.
• Support customer and internal manufacturing audits.
• Initiates quality and process improvement initiatives.
