Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure manufacturing processes use the correct tools, materials and procedures.

You will implement Quality Management Systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conforming products, and support internal and external audits. The role requires a minimum of five years in QA engineering within semiconductor or related industries, strong communication skills, and knowledge of ISO-9001/IATF-16949 QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience as Quality Assurance Engineer in a Semiconductor or related Industry.
• Excellent in verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Implement Quality Management Systems.
• Manage timely and effective resolution of customer feedback.
• Work with operations team to address internal quality issues and RMAs per assigned area.
• Oversee performance and provide improvement plans for incoming wafer and raw material issues.
• Provide immediate quarantine and accurate disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
• Review accuracy of suppliers’ SCAR report and effectiveness monitoring.
• Maintain quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
• Analyze quality data and regular update of quality report.
• Failure Analysis review and recommendations.
• Support customer and internal manufacturing audits.
• Initiates quality and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience as Quality Assurance Engineer in a Semiconductor or related Industry.
• Excellent in verbal and written communications.
• Good interpersonal relationship.
• Knowledgeable in computer - Powerpoint, Excel, Word.
• Knowledgeable in ESD, 5S, 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, 7 QC tools and MSA.
• Knowledgeable in ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 Quality Management System.
