Job summary

WebFocus Solutions Inc. is seeking a QA Associate to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

You will review requirements, design tests, and define corrective actions while collaborating with UX, design, and development teams to deliver high-quality web projects. The role involves creating detailed test plans, automating test cases, and performing thorough regression testing to ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Extensive Web testing experience from visual design through HTML templating to final web front-end.

JOB OVERVIEW :

The role of QA Associate is to develop and execute exploratory and automated test to ensure product quality, runs smoothly and meets client needs. QA responsibilities includes designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Liaise with internal teams (eg Project Coordinator, BA, Manager and Developer, etc) to identify system requirements

2. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

3. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

4. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

5. Analyze test cases and determines test cases applicable for automation.

6. Design, develop and execute automation scripts to ensure product quality

7. Develops and maintains automation test scripts.

8. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

9. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

10. Monitor debugging process results

11. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

12. Provides end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.

13. Monitors all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

14. Works alongside with multidisciplinary User Experience, Visual Design,

Marketing/Content Strategy and Development/Engineering teams to deliver multiple web and content management projects.

15. Works with onshore and offshore Web Developers and Web Designers to develop test plans, test cases, executes all testing and manages defect tracking and reporting.

16. Provides proper level of communicating up accomplishments, issues and suggested ways of resolving these issues.

17. Performs automation testing activities on complex web architectures.

18. Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies

19. Performs all other functions necessary in the achievement of section’s goals and objectives

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

Education :

Graduate of BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Work Experience :

With extensive Web testing experience from visual design through HTML templating to final web front-end.

Skills :

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both English and Tagalog both in articulating ideas, gathering input and ability to build professional relationships

• Extensive cross-device/browser/version web testing and analysis experience

• Flexible in process and comfortable working with many client-specific standards

• Problem solver and is passionate about new technologies

• Desires to work in a client-facing consulting role

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

• Advantage if knowledgeable in the ff: Selenium, Unit Tests, Regression Testing, Jira, Test Automation
